Proxim Wireless Inks Distribution Deal with Moonblink

Proxim Wireless (News - Alert) has signed a distribution agreement with Moonblink Communications, a value-added distributor of broadband wireless equipment throughout the Americas.

As a certified Proxim distributor, Moonblink will now be able to distribute Proxim's WLAN, Wi-Fi mesh, WiMAX (News - Alert) and point-to-point solutions throughout both North America and Latin America.

Moonblink will now be able to directly purchase Proxim’s products for resale to VARs in North America and Latin America. Proxim wireless’ officials explain that VARs will benefit by having personalized sales and engineering support in the Pacific time zone, which will greatly enhance their ability to procure product when they need it most.

Darrell Alfaro, CEO of Moonblink noted in a statement that their customers demand complete broadband wireless solutions that provide the high-performance needed to deliver the quadruple play, both indoors and out. He said that Proxim provides the only complete end-to-end broadband wireless portfolio with integrated management across all technologies, including WLAN, Wi-Fi mesh, WiMAX and point-to-point.

Pankaj Manglik, CEO of Proxim said that they picked Moonblink because their sales, engineering and support personnel are highly qualified and have a proven track record for helping VARs add value to their wireless solutions. He added that the combined broadband wireless expertise of Proxim and Moonblink is a natural fit, and one that they feel will greatly benefit their reseller partners.

Based in Sunnyvale, Calif., Moonblink Communications is a value-added distributor providing WiFi (News - Alert), WiMAX, voice over Internet protocol (VoIP), license-free and licensed broadband wireless products and services to resellers and partners throughout the Americas.
