NextPhase Wireless, a company focused on providing connectivity services and solutions to businesses, public school systems and local government agencies, has announced opening of its new Tier 1 data center in Philadelphia.

NextPhase Wireless (News - Alert) along with its subsidiary InterActive Network Systems located in New Jersey provides high capacity broadband services in the Mid Atlantic region of the United States, with a focus on providing mission critical data services to schools and municipalities throughout the region.

Company official confirmed that the new data center is built with a goal to increase the network capacity to meet growing customer demand.

Michael Jones, CTO of NextPhase Wireless said, “It allows us to increase our service footprint and support our planned licensed WiMAX (News - Alert) deployment over the first quarter of this year."

According to Jones, the new network facility sits on fiber from more than a dozen Tier 1 and Tier 2 networks with national as well as global peering arrangements. To NextPhase this means exponential capacity for growth as well as multiple possibilities for redundancy, assuring 100 percent network availability to its customers.

NextPhase Wireless says that its long standing reputation in the market helps the company to secure new business in the WiMAX domain. As the companies all over the world wake up to the limitless possibilities of the WiMAX, NextPhase is approached by many companies to provide them with the necessary services.

"Customers in the region have been requesting an affordable, high capacity bandwidth solution. WiMAX will allow us to deliver a large amount of bandwidth at a reduced cost. They have also requested ancillary WiMAX services that will help increase their productivity and dependability. The increased infrastructure is the first step in answering this demand," Jones said, "with the remaining steps to follow shortly," he added.

He said that their fiber network infrastructure is now in line with Tier 1 networks globally, and expects that the company’s technology will put them ahead of the competition over the next few months as company will roll out WiMAX offerings in New Jersey and Pennsylvania.

Recently, NextPhase started providing infrastructure to application developers finding it difficult to stay in the market. Company is now providing support to application developers so that they can manage their key markets throughout the nation. The company is all ready to move into markets such as Internet capable televisions and hi-def broadcasting.
